About the Event

Join in for a conversation about the role of women in the Radical Reformation and the ways they shaped the early Anabaptist movement. Kimberly Schmidt, PhD, Professor of History Emerita at Eastern Mennonite University will spark the conversation with stories and historical perspectives about early Anabaptist women. Then we’ll get the chance to ask questions, consider what the women's legacy means for our spiritual lives, and explore the continuous and changing ways that women shape the Anabaptist faith today.

 

This conversation is inspired by a recent TourMagination trip of Austria, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Switzerland around Mennonite World Conference’s celebration of Anabaptism’s 500th anniversary. A few Mennonite women who attended sparked our interest with tales of the rewarding experience upon their return.
