Each February, Mennonite Women USA invites conference MW leaders from across the United States to an annual resource gathering and networking retreat--PREP-Preparing, Resourcing, Encouraging, and Praising.
PREP 2009, titled "Flowers in the Desert," will focus on Sister-Care with input from board member, Carolyn Holderread Heggen. Held February 27-28 at Trinity Mennonite Church in Phoenix, Arizona, MW USA will host with Pacific Southwest MW. |

PREP 2008 was held at MCC's Welcoming Place in Akron, Pa. with attendees from 14 MC USA conferences.
Speaker Cheryl Hollinger spoke on intergenerational mentoring for women. Donna Mast led worship; Rebecca Sommers and Doris Diener provided music leadership. |

2008 – “A Caring Presence”–will continue looking at Mennonite Women in the congregation –caring (for self and others); Cheryl Hollinger speaker on mentoring, report on Sister-Care in Franklin and Virginia (MCC Welcoming Place, Akron, Pa.)
2007 – “Listening with Love”–the importance of our stories with Joan Boyer and MW USA staff; the idea of Sister-Care introduced (Dyck Arboretum of the Plains, Hesston, Kan.)
2006 – “Seeing Ourselves as Spiritual Leaders”–the Circle of Women and Four Spiritual Generations– Prayer shawl Sister-Link (Bay Shore Mennonite Church, Sarasota, Fla.)
2005 – “Leading from Within”–Lee Schmucker gave input; groups worked on updating governance (Dyck Arboretum of the Plains, Hesston, Kan.)
2004 – “Importance of Two”–Naomi and Ruth and building a team. More Sister-Link stories (MCC Welcoming Place, Akron, Pa.)
2003 – “Balancing Mary and Martha” with drama by Brenda Glanzer Lilliston–Sister-Link stories (Dyck Arboretum of the Plains, Hesston, Kan.)
2002 – “Letting Go and Holding On”–Self care for leaders with bread baking–Bible story, The woman at the well–the idea of Sister-Link was introduced (Dyck Arboretum of the Plains, Hesston, Kan.)
2001 – “What is our Mission?”–Mennonite Women and Canadian Women in Mission were restructuring into separate national organizations, guest speaker Susan J. Jantzen (Bethel College Mennonite Church, Newton, Kan.)
2000 - "A Look at Leadership"-with input from Dottie Jantzen (Bethel College Mennonite Church, Newton, Kan.)
