Try a change of setting: sit outdoors around a picnic table,
maybe at a park.
It’s possible even for big groups to meet in a home. After gathering together
for singing, divide into different rooms, each with a designated hostess/discussion
leader, for tea, Bible study, discussion, and prayer.
Sample questions for an annual group evaluation are available in
Women Together 2.
Although some groups keep minutes of their activities, this is too formal
for others. Still, it is important to keep track of group experiences, both
for
historical purposes and as an inspiration
to your own members as you recall past events. Try starting a “group diary”
of your activities. Make it as fun and unique to your group as possible and
take turns recording events, each recorder in her own style. You might also
keep a group photo album or scrapbook. At the end of each year, schedule
an evening to review and discuss the events of the previous months. This
would be a natural time to hold an evaluation of past activities.
