Bible studies on life essentials:
Secure in God's House

Cover: Secure in God's House In times of heightened anxiety, Christians have a comforting, joyful message to share about the security we find in God Most High.

Secure in God’s House by Ann Weber Becker of Kitchener, Ont., begins with shelter-related images of God and examines stories of some lesser-known biblical women, such as Jehosheba in 2 Kings or Rizpah in 2 Samuel. The study concludes with a blessing service in which participants move through their church building, remembering its ministries in prayer. Another short house blessing service may be used by groups that meet in each other's homes.

For groups that prefer short devotionals, a 10-minute version of each of the 10 lessons is included in the study guide.

Bonus features available here (PDF format):
•  Readers’ theatre scripts of two Bible stories, prepared by Jennifer Davis Sensenig, Pasadena, Calif.: Hannah (1 Samuel 1-2) and Tamar (2 Samuel 13:1-20).
•  A printable bookmark listing the scriptures and themes for each lesson. Give them to each group member as a reminder of scriptures to read before your meeting. If you like, there's room to write in the dates of each coming meeting.
•  A summary of the optional activities that would require advance preparation.
•  A printable compilation of the readings used in the church blessing service for the final lesson.
•  A link to the lyrics for "Shelter," a song by Bill Batstone and Andy Crouch.
•  Devocionales en Español (Spanish language devotionals)

Heres how to order.
