This banner represents women coming together from the north, south, east and west to worship, serve and praise in their own congregations and in the broader church. The banner was created by Rebecca Sommers and Elaine W. Good. |

Our History includes "A Great Cloud of Witnesses." Mennonite Women USA was formed in 2003 out of a long history of women connecting through friendship, fellowship and mission and service projects. The first groups began in 1916-17, called Women’s Missionary and Service Commission and Women in Mission. They merged into bi-national Mennonite Women in 1997, which became Mennonite Women USA.
The symbol of Mennonite Women USA portrays the vine that is Christ (John 15:5). Rounded but not closed, it suggests openness to all, inclusivity, and endurance. Many branches spring from a central vine, representing the diversity of Mennonite women; all are woven together, in community. |
|
Funding: Mennonite Women USA is funded solely by contributions from individuals and groups. Gifts to MW USA make this ministry possible. You can give online.
We are assisted by many volunteers around the country. Meet some of our volunteers.
Mennonite Women USA is a constituent group of Mennonite Church USA. Other constituent groups include: Mennonite Men, African-American Mennonite Association, Iglesia Menonita Hispana and Native Mennonite Ministries. Mennonite Women USA participates in MC USA’s Constituency Leadership Council.

Mission and Vision
Our mission at Mennonite Women USA is to empower women and women's groups as we nurture our life in Christ through studying the Bible, using our gifts, hearing each other, and engaging in mission and service.
Our vision Mennonite Women USA invites women across generations, cultures, and places to share and honor our stories, care for each other, and express our prophetic voice boldly as we seek to follow Christ. -November 2009
